ALTER EGO (X) is an independent European cultural association that conceives, produces, and supports high-impact artistic and cultural projects across France and Europe.

We develop hybrid creations that combine audiovisual productions, radio, participatory events, civic dialogues, and innovative formats. Through these projects, we explore the intersections of culture, society, and democracy, creating spaces for reflection, public debate, and collective experimentation.

Because cultural projects are shaped by the people who bring them to life, ALTER EGO (X) also supports artists, creatives, and cultural entrepreneurs in their professional development. Our capacity-building programs provide practical tools to help participants build sustainable cultural initiatives, strengthen professional networks, and foster collaboration across Europe.

We believe that culture is a common good and that artistic practices can help strengthen democratic values. That is why we work through a European network of artists, researchers, cultural professionals, and partner organizations to encourage the exchange of ideas, expertise, and collaborations—from the local level to the international stage.
